Main character for an adaption of the Brothers Grimm's story, The Seven Ravens. Zauna-segl is a young seafaring viking who sets off to explore the world, looking for her missing brothers.
Zauna is the name given to her by her Nigerian mother, meaning "to be alive".
Segl was given to her by her Norse father, meaning "sail".

Stoll, the girl's companion Norwegian Elkhound, and how he looks at the beginning and end of the story.
Stoll represents the chair in the original Seven Ravens story. Stoll is Icelandic for chair.

The Sun Temple, located in West Africa. The Sun God once left for many years and returned to find that missionaries had built a stone cathedral on his home. His anger caused massive salt spires to shoot out and destroy the cathedral.

Items from the story including a ring, a jug, a chair (which I changed to a dog who's shape resembles a type of viking chair), and the key.

The father is a multi-generation viking, and the mother is a second-generation viking, her own mother being from Nigeria.

Zauna-Segl's raven brother ideations and the creature that steals them at the beginning of the story and absorbs them into it's body.

Sun location: Dallol, Ethiopia.
A stone church was placed upon the Sun's home and when he returned, his anger caused large salt spikes to shoot out and destroy the church.

The Moon deity - location: Russia.

The "stars" are located in an ancient cave in New Zealand and are a hive-minded worm creature.
The Glass Mountain is actually an ice pyramid in Alaska.
